Forty-Second Show - [Voice/Drawn/Action]

[She's been back from the battle for a couple of days, and even though she spent the first few resting on and off and visiting with people, Kairi's starting to grow restless.

Having a broken leg really doesn't do much for her activity.

Thankfully, Mia made it seem (and feel) as though it wouldn't take long at all to heal.

So today, Lucetians, if you were to open your journal you would probably be greeted with a bunch of stars. Stars of all shapes, sizes, colors and designs. She's currently drawing and then coloring in the outlines.]

So just how old is too old for coloring books anyway? Don't laugh, it's a real question. I'm running out of options...I mean the company I've had has been nice, but I'm not going to force them to stay here.

Let's pretend you were stuck inside your room for a while. What would you do to entertain yourself?

I've been thinking about what to do when this is over though. I think I'd like to start getting involved more, helping people. [Sora and Riku were both part of the Blue Rogues at one point. Xion wanted to become a doctor. What was she doing? What should she be doing?] I just wonder what the best way to do that would be. I guess I'll look over options later.

[And so she'll go back to drawing. Anyone who knows where House 14 is is welcome to visit her. Otherwise she'll be listening for anyone speaking to her.]

[She's fine with him snoozing for now, seeing how she's talking to people and coloring. The other two boys have been hanging out, too, which has been nice. But during this particular moment the two of them are alone.

Hey. Wake up, you lazy bum.

[a fate well deserved indeed-- Sora blinks, then shifts, then-- turns over, then-- no wait, he turns back, he's awake.]

Huuhhn? [... maybe.]

You're the only one still in here. You can't be falling asleep on me.

-- Sorry, Kairi! I didn't even...

[he reaches up with a hand and floofs at his own hair, which had flattened against the chair as he snoozed.]

Are you doing all right? Do you need anything?

[She's still just trying to stifle her giggles here.]

Sora, I'm fine. Really. But you were starting to snore a little. [Okay maybe he wasn't, but teasing Sora never gets old.]

[it's sad how it always takes Sora a few minutes to catch on to her teasing.]

Was I? Sorry about that! What've you been doing, though?

Just kidding, relax. [She gestures to the pile of colored pencils and her journal, along with a box of jewelry making supplies.] Keeping myself while the rest of you bums slept and did other things. It's not bad though.

[Sora slides off the chair and walks over to the bed to get a better look at everything. coloring, eh? he can conjure up a masterpiece if Kairi wants one.]

Well, I'm here now!

[She'll shift a little to give him room to sit if he wants to.] You've been here...I don't think I've seen you leave for more than five minutes at a time. Any of you. [Don't think she didn't notice, kid.]

Well... none of us want to leave you alone, that's all.

[no privacy. never!]

So I noticed. I really do appreciate it though...everybody's been really good over the last few days. Aren't you getting uncomfortable in that chair though?

Nope! It's a really comfortable chair.

You're so weird.

...so guess what? Mia said I should be good to walk with some help by the end of the week. Pretty good, huh?

I'm not weird! I just-- I can adapt to any situation.

[Sora's smile turns gentle at that news, and he nods. part of him is still angry that he didn't get to tag along to help her, and that she got hurt at all, but the most of him is thankful she came back alive.]

You're pretty good at adapting, I'll give you that. [Aw Sora.] I was thinking you and I could go for a walk later this week then. I'm still going to need help, but it'd be nice. You, me and Riku.

I'd really like that. It'd be nice to get you some fresh air, too.

We'll go together. You guys pick a day and I'll do my best to keep up.

You got it, Kairi. Dragging Riku out on a nice walk sounds like a good idea, too.

On the bright side, I doubt we have to drag him. You know how Riku gets when he's cooped up for too long...both of you get that way, actually.

Good thing we've got you to keep us in line.

You'd both be hopeless without me, admit it.

[Sora crosses his arms at this, tapping his chin. thinking reeaaaal hard. he learned how to think this hard from Winnie the Pooh, of course.]

[a final, sage nod.] Mmm... You're probably right.

It's okay, I don't think I mind having to be around you guys forever. [It's just. Weird that she's older than both of them right now.]

Are you hungry? I was thinking of grabbing a snack.

[that fact catches Sora off guard on more than one occasion when he's not expecting it, but Kairi is Kairi, and his best friend, whether she's his age or 18 or whatever.]

I could eat something. Want to get out of here for a while?

Definitely. My room's starting to drive me crazy. Where should we go? Just to the kitchen?
