[Don't mind her, she's just grumbling to herself a little.] Vanitas is wrong. Valentine's Day is still special, even if a person doesn't have someone else to celebrate it with. It's seeing everybody else happy that makes it worth it some days. [But she's done fuming about it. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.]

You know, I kind of miss the day-after sales on holiday candy back home. With everything being free here, it's not quite the same.

Anyway, hope everybody had a nice holiday! From the sounds of it a lot of you really are getting into the spirit of things. It's great. What was the best thing about yesterday for those of you who celebrated? I think mine was just seeing love in the air.

I think I've spoiled myself with this box of chocolates though.

...hey Aqua, are you busy? I thought maybe we could get started on that thing you and I talked about a while ago.

I wasn't ready on time. [ AN AWKWARD SILENCE. ] But I think I am now.

[...what is that silence.] Okay...cool. I'm glad for you, Jake. [Someone hasn't quite put the dots together yet, but she doesn't sound as glad as she says. Maybe jealous that it could be for another girl? Maybe.]

Can you be ready in ten minutes? I've got something I want to show you.

[...oh. Oh, you mean...don't mind her, she may sound a bit more excited suddenly.]

You bet. Did you want to meet at the house, or on the usual bridge?

I'll see you there in nine minutes. [And then she's shutting the journal. BRB busting her butt to get ready and out the door to meet him at the bridge.]

[Jacob. You never fail to look cuddly, just saying. Dressed warm for the weather, she approaches the giant wolf and crouches down. Ear-scritches? You can have some.]

I should have known you'd beat me here. We going somewhere?

[ his tail thumps against the ground, a wolfish grin spreading across his face. slowly, he gets into the usual stance. hop on, kairi. it's adventure time. ]

[At least you don't have to ask her twice. She nods and climbs up on top of Jacob's back.] Okay...ready when you are.

[ he flexes his paws. and then OFF HE GOES. into the forest like a shot. ]

[THIS NEVER STOPS BEING AWESOME. Granted she's gripping his fur tight and kind of laughing to herself at the sheer speed Jacob's going, but really, she's pretty pleased. Of course she's very curious where he's taking her, but she knows better than to ask while they're running. Impatient Kairi is impatient.]

[...leaning forward a little to get a better look.] Jake...what did you do?

[ a pleased bark!

there's a large hill in view.

no. not a hill. a castle, on a large snowbank, in the middle of a moat. all made of snow. ]

[...just. gawking.] Oh...wow. [She's just going to keep leaning forward to take in all of it, examining the detail of the castle and eyes widening even at the moat. She'll save her questions for when they stop, but she can't help but lean closer to Jacob's ear.] You did all of this? I can't believe it.

[ a pleased bark. this has been his secret project for a while now. it started off as a poorly conceived igloo snow fort, but mistakke after mistake eventually had him rethinking his tactics.

and so, say hello to your palace. ]

[The longer she looks at it, the more amazed she finds herself becoming. Somebody seriously put some work into this. And so, she laughs. Not mockingly, obviously, but out of sheer amazement and joy.]

This is beautiful. I can't believe you actually built this yourself. This must have taken you ages!

[ so pleased. he slows to a stop at the bridge, tail wagging. ]

[Many ear scritches for you, Jake. Princess Kairi is incredibly pleased, and she's leaning forward to try and look him in the face.] This was a perfect surprise. Thank you. I'm amazed it's so detailed. [And that it's still standing because...it's snow. But Jacob's kind of magical like that.]

[ it's carefully reinforced with ice. which, sadly, makes the walls slippery - but the floor has been covered with tightly packed snow to prevent slipping.

he lowers himself to the ground, giving a pleased bark. ]

[Headpets for you, Jacob. Kairi's going to crawl off his back, looking between him and the snow castle.]
