Thirty-Eighth Shower - [Voice]

[Don't mind her, she's just grumbling to herself a little.] Vanitas is wrong. Valentine's Day is still special, even if a person doesn't have someone else to celebrate it with. It's seeing everybody else happy that makes it worth it some days. [But she's done fuming about it. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.]

You know, I kind of miss the day-after sales on holiday candy back home. With everything being free here, it's not quite the same.

Anyway, hope everybody had a nice holiday! From the sounds of it a lot of you really are getting into the spirit of things. It's great. What was the best thing about yesterday for those of you who celebrated? I think mine was just seeing love in the air.

I think I've spoiled myself with this box of chocolates though.

...hey Aqua, are you busy? I thought maybe we could get started on that thing you and I talked about a while ago.

[...just. gawking.] Oh...wow. [She's just going to keep leaning forward to take in all of it, examining the detail of the castle and eyes widening even at the moat. She'll save her questions for when they stop, but she can't help but lean closer to Jacob's ear.] You did all of this? I can't believe it.

[ a pleased bark. this has been his secret project for a while now. it started off as a poorly conceived igloo snow fort, but mistakke after mistake eventually had him rethinking his tactics.

and so, say hello to your palace. ]

[The longer she looks at it, the more amazed she finds herself becoming. Somebody seriously put some work into this. And so, she laughs. Not mockingly, obviously, but out of sheer amazement and joy.]

This is beautiful. I can't believe you actually built this yourself. This must have taken you ages!

[ so pleased. he slows to a stop at the bridge, tail wagging. ]

[Many ear scritches for you, Jake. Princess Kairi is incredibly pleased, and she's leaning forward to try and look him in the face.] This was a perfect surprise. Thank you. I'm amazed it's so detailed. [And that it's still standing because...it's snow. But Jacob's kind of magical like that.]

[ it's carefully reinforced with ice. which, sadly, makes the walls slippery - but the floor has been covered with tightly packed snow to prevent slipping.

he lowers himself to the ground, giving a pleased bark. ]

[Headpets for you, Jacob. Kairi's going to crawl off his back, looking between him and the snow castle.]

Feel like giving me the grand tour?

[ A wolfish grin. He stands back up and bounds off into the bushes.

And he comes back fully clothed, offering an arm. ] Only the best for the Princess.

[There's a giggle, and soon she's taking his arm.] Shall we, then? [And she'll start moving forward toward the castle, dragging Jacob with her.]

[ and he allows it with a laugh. ]

Well! [ once inside he steps back, a bounce to his step. The entire interior is just a large, bowled cavern - created specifically for warmth. ] This is the grand hall. Constructed with all the finest snow in Luceti. And - [ he knocked on one of the walls. it made a pleasant THUNK. ] reinforced with ice. So it's going to last.

And, over there - [ in the corner, there's a pile of blankets and cushions. ] is the dining hall. Annnd the kitchens - [ he points to shelves carved nearby, where a wide array of food sits cooling. ] is the kitchen. And the finest chefs have come from all over just to serve you.

[Jeeze Jacob, you are so adorable and Kairi pretty much cannot handle. She's going to look around the castle, letting her hand glide along one of the walls and blinking at the sheer amount of food.]

I can't believe you did all of this without me even noticing. Really. This is just...nobody's ever done something like this for me before. [Traveled across several worlds to save her heart and bring her home, sure, but this is SO MUCH BETTER. Or so the experiment leads her to believe.]

Guess I know what I'm doing for the rest of the day.
