[Today if anyone's wandering into Seventh Heaven, they'll find Kairi sitting at a table by herself. Thanks to Sanji, she's agreed to pick up a few shifts at the restaurant as a part-time waitress. She's just finished her shift for the day and she's got her Luceti-provided journal open in front of her, along with a sheet of what looks like purple paper. She had leafed through the pages of the Luceti journal, checking on the village, but now she's occasionally writing lines on the purple page. If anyone were to get close enough to look, they'd see:

Thinking of you, wherever you are. It's been a little over two months since you left...almost three, actually, but I still think about you every day. I think we all do.

[She pauses in her writing then upon realizing two things. A.) This is very much like a letter she wrote to Sora about fifteen months ago and B.) It's been almost three months since the brunette left. It felt weird the longer she thought about it, thinking about how close she had become to some people and how distant she was starting to feel from the boy who was...no, is her best friend.

It disturbs her, in a way. Enough to cause her to push the letter aside, turning her attention back to her Luceti-journal to address the public. Her voice is pretty casual, but anyone who knows her well enough may notice there's a slight hesitance.]

[Voice]

What would you consider a good balance between making a life here in Luceti and keeping your life in your own world in focus? I mean in the sense of...well...let's talk about jobs for instance. Do you think it's important to make yourself useful here, or would you rather wait until you go home since it may not matter once we leave anyway?

Or friends, even. Do you only call people from your world your best friends, or have you made new best friends here?

[She pauses, trying to think of how to wrap this up. Keep it casual, keep it light.] It's not really a big deal, I'm just kind of curious what everyone thinks.

You've got that right. [And she's definitely no exception, either.] Did Jixsan really get along with anybody outside of the Organization at first?

Not at all.

[Though despite the quick answer, he quickly amends that] Maaah, that's a little unfair. He could work with anyone if the need arose, but he... didn't see any point in acting like he could care.

[With glaring exceptions, of course]

[Well doesn't that sound like a certain redhead she knows 8|] No offense, but I think I like you better.

None taken, Kairi-chan~! I like me better, too. [Said with his usual energy, though he sounds sheepish]

But Jixsan wasn't bad...maybe a little misunderstood, but not bad.

Anyway, now you know a lot of the secrets of our world. Does it bother you at all?

[He blinks, head canted slightly to the side.

Bother him? Sanji doesn't have an answer ready for her because it's not a question that ever crossed his mind. He suspects a part of him - the part still tied to Jixsan's memories - accepts the secrets and inner workings of that universe; it's just how shit works there. He can no more condone it than he could the world he's familiar with.]

Should it bother me? [His hands slide into his pockets] Not to say your worlds make a lot of sense to me now... [heartless, nobodies, lost hearts and souls and discarded bodies and clones and gummi ships and KINGDOM HEAAAAAAARTS--

It makes the One Piece universe look relatively sane and mild mannered]

I guess bother isn't the word I'm looking for, but a lot of people kind of get overloaded with information and then aren't sure what to make of it.

Well, I gotta say it's all pretty unique. [Pause] And hard to follow.

Hey, I've lived it and even I don't know if I follow the whole way through. Before this place...? I didn't even know about Ven or Terra. Or Vanitas.

[Ugh, Vanitas. Sanji spares a moment to grateful the bastard isn't here, and then angry because he'd like to kick him in the teeth. Just because.]

So all of them are from a different world, too?

Yup. [Give her a second...she'll be flipping over her letter to Sora to sketch out a diagram on the back of the paper.] Sora and Riku are from Destiny Islands. I'm from Radiant Garden...Axel originally was, too. [She had figured that much out, vague vague memories of a boy named Lea.] Ven, Terra and Aqua are all from their own world. Vanitas I think is from the same world they are, too. Roxas was born in Hollow Bastion. Xion was born in Never Was...that's where she lived her whole life, too. Roxas was transported to Twilight Town. Naminé was born in Hollow Bastion, too, but spent a long time in Castle Oblivion...I think. [Details from Axel were fuzzy, at best.] Kohan was born in Castle Oblivion. [Born, made, whatever.] The Organization members were all from Never Was, but I'm sure their Others were from other worlds, too.

And really, who knows who else is out there and where they are.

You're from-- [He cuts off. Focus, Sanji. Or try to, in any case.

But really, but the time Kairi finishes up, Sanji is slowly nodding his head like a man who is obligated to do so, and his expression is deadpan.

Her universe needs a flow chart]

[Ridiculous, isn't it. But she heard that, and she's looping back around to that point.]

...I'm from what, Sanji?

Radiant Garden.

Guess I'm just surprised Jixsan didn't know that... that's where he was from, too.

...it's sort a little known fact, I guess. [She gives him a slight grin.] I lived there until I was five. I probably would have stayed there if the Garden hadn't fallen to the darkness, but when it did I was sent to the islands instead. That's how I met the boys.

Aaah, I see. [He makes a light sound at that, eyes clouding over from his thoughts, but the moment soon passes. He grins at her] I'm glad Kairi-chan escaped~!

[Losing your world to darkness is terrifying for adults; he can't imagine how a child would view it]

Somehow I think you have Aqua to thank for that. [It's a vague memory still, but it's grown stronger over time. Meeting the Keyblade master, getting that protective magic on her necklace...]

Wasn't exactly lucky the second time though. The islands fell when we were fourteen. Well, Riku was fifteen.

[His expression falls a little. This, too, Sanji didn't know, though it makes sense in this case. The Organization would have no use for that knowledge, and Sora didn't consider Jixsan trustworthy with any piece of information until the day of the Nobody's death.]

... But Sora restored them, didn't he? [He knows the boy saved Radiant Garden from a gruesome fate]

[She nods slowly.] Yeah. He restored a lot of worlds, including ours. I ended up going back home after he defeated Xehanort's Heartless and waited for a year while he went out to try and find Riku and the King.

[... He has to ask]

Until Axel kidnapped you?

...Jixsan knew about that?

Hn. Jixsan got pissed. [Though he feels he needs to qualify that statement with another]

... The two used to be friends, along with Saix.

...so what happened? Who deflected first, Jixsan or Axel?

Jixsan.

... It was bound to happen. He had different reasons for joining the Organization than the other two. So when he realized everyone else was more interested in getting their hearts back than their worlds, he up and left.

So does that mean Jixsan never cared if he got his heart back ever again?
