[Today if anyone's wandering into Seventh Heaven, they'll find Kairi sitting at a table by herself. Thanks to Sanji, she's agreed to pick up a few shifts at the restaurant as a part-time waitress. She's just finished her shift for the day and she's got her Luceti-provided journal open in front of her, along with a sheet of what looks like purple paper. She had leafed through the pages of the Luceti journal, checking on the village, but now she's occasionally writing lines on the purple page. If anyone were to get close enough to look, they'd see:

Thinking of you, wherever you are. It's been a little over two months since you left...almost three, actually, but I still think about you every day. I think we all do.

[She pauses in her writing then upon realizing two things. A.) This is very much like a letter she wrote to Sora about fifteen months ago and B.) It's been almost three months since the brunette left. It felt weird the longer she thought about it, thinking about how close she had become to some people and how distant she was starting to feel from the boy who was...no, is her best friend.

It disturbs her, in a way. Enough to cause her to push the letter aside, turning her attention back to her Luceti-journal to address the public. Her voice is pretty casual, but anyone who knows her well enough may notice there's a slight hesitance.]

What would you consider a good balance between making a life here in Luceti and keeping your life in your own world in focus? I mean in the sense of...well...let's talk about jobs for instance. Do you think it's important to make yourself useful here, or would you rather wait until you go home since it may not matter once we leave anyway?

Or friends, even. Do you only call people from your world your best friends, or have you made new best friends here?

[She pauses, trying to think of how to wrap this up. Keep it casual, keep it light.] It's not really a big deal, I'm just kind of curious what everyone thinks.

Making friends, hanging out, reading, trying to figure out stuff for school here. Nothing big, but I guess it's something.

You know, I'd actually be really interested in seeing something like that. It's definitely something to consider.

I could always try being a juggler. That seems easy enough. Not flexible enough for aerobics.

We'll start you with apples and work your way up to bowling pins. It can't be that hard, can it?

If what teachers tell me is true at all, if I try hard, I can achieve anything. Including juggling bowling pins.

I think I can safely say you'd be one of the first ones to accomplish such a feat.

Nope, don't think you did. I kind of keep forgetting about the introducing myself part here. Sorry. My name's Gordo.

Eventually it'll get to the point where everybody knows everybody. [But she sounds a little skeptical.] Gordo? [Okay, sure, if you say so. Definitely going to be easy to remember.] I'm Kairi. Good to officially meet you.

We'll be like those small towns I always hear about. [Why is she skeptical? Gordo is clearly a legitimate name.] Kairi, huh? Nice to meet you too. Officially and all.

Just like the ones you hear about. I guess that means you're from someplace that's a lot bigger than this?

Well, kind of. I live near some bigger cities. Around it. It's nothing like this, though.

From what I've heard they kind of threw a lot of people backwards, but it's not so bad. I'm from an island though so this is sort of just like home for me.

An island? Oh, that's cool. It must have been nice.

It was kind of perfect. [Until it got destroyed and had to be reconstructed, but...details.] The ocean and the beach here's not bad, but nothing comes close to Destiny Islands. We had the perfect water temperature, the perfect sand texture and the perfect amount of sunlight. I really miss it sometimes.

Destiny Islands? Huh. I don't think we have that where I come from. Too bad. It really does sound like paradise.

I've been tempted to build it out in the battle dome, but I haven't really had time yet. Has anybody told you about that yet?

Building an entire island in the battle dome? Nope. Can't say they have.

Not just an island...you can pretty much build anything you want as long as you can figure out how to program it. A friend of mine actually took me back to see his home world once he figured out how to set up the simulation of it. It's usually used for training, but some people use it just to get away and explore.

His whole world? That's really awesome. Really, really awesome. I wouldn't have ever thought something like that was possible. Ever.

And you plan on trying to do that with the island you came from?

It wasn't up about a year ago when they made some upgrades. It's one of the better presents they've gifted us over the years.

I'd like to sometime, but maybe not the whole island. If anything I'd like to at least re-create the play island my friends and I used to boat out to every day.

Still, building an island would be something. It'd be cool to see, too. I'd like to build something like that.

You should head out there and check it out sometime then. There's a lot of chambers, usually at least one is open at all times.
