[Today if anyone's wandering into Seventh Heaven, they'll find Kairi sitting at a table by herself. Thanks to Sanji, she's agreed to pick up a few shifts at the restaurant as a part-time waitress. She's just finished her shift for the day and she's got her Luceti-provided journal open in front of her, along with a sheet of what looks like purple paper. She had leafed through the pages of the Luceti journal, checking on the village, but now she's occasionally writing lines on the purple page. If anyone were to get close enough to look, they'd see:

Thinking of you, wherever you are. It's been a little over two months since you left...almost three, actually, but I still think about you every day. I think we all do.

[She pauses in her writing then upon realizing two things. A.) This is very much like a letter she wrote to Sora about fifteen months ago and B.) It's been almost three months since the brunette left. It felt weird the longer she thought about it, thinking about how close she had become to some people and how distant she was starting to feel from the boy who was...no, is her best friend.

It disturbs her, in a way. Enough to cause her to push the letter aside, turning her attention back to her Luceti-journal to address the public. Her voice is pretty casual, but anyone who knows her well enough may notice there's a slight hesitance.]

[Voice]

What would you consider a good balance between making a life here in Luceti and keeping your life in your own world in focus? I mean in the sense of...well...let's talk about jobs for instance. Do you think it's important to make yourself useful here, or would you rather wait until you go home since it may not matter once we leave anyway?

Or friends, even. Do you only call people from your world your best friends, or have you made new best friends here?

[She pauses, trying to think of how to wrap this up. Keep it casual, keep it light.] It's not really a big deal, I'm just kind of curious what everyone thinks.

In regards to what she's saying though...well, that's what she's been doing for a while, isn't it? That's what she's even doing now, fixating on Sora.]

At Kairi's question, though, Ino's voice turns softer and milder as her smile wanes a little.]

I didn't say it is. [A small chuckle.] If anything, I should listen to my own advice sometimes. [Then her voice turns soft again.] But that's what we should do. Easier said than done, though.

How about this? I'll remind you if you remind me.

[That makes her smile again.]

Sounds like a deal. You have my word that I will.

So...I think you already know this, but I'm Kairi. It's nice to finally meet you.

It's nice to finally meet you too, Kairi. My name's Ino and I think you already know who's our connection. [+1 snarkbutt, that's who]

You'd think he would have introduced us sooner than this, but I guess it's not his style. He's told me a little about you, but I'm glad to see for myself.

Well, I guess it really isn't, but that's what makes him special. He likes showing his precious people that he cares in his own way. [A beat.] And I have a pretty good idea he just wants us to meet for ourselves.

He told me a little about you too. You know Riku, he's not exactly a talker.

[His precious people huh. She can't help but giggle just slightly. That's a fair enough point.] He is once you find a way in, but he's pretty stubborn when he wants to be. How long have you two been...well, you know.

Yeah, he can be pretty stubborn. [She knows that well. At her question, Ino pauses in thought.] Hm, well, two months on the thirteenth.

That's pretty good. [And it's definitely good for her because it means that Riku pretty much told her off the bat. Good biffle.] You seem to be the kind that knows how to handle him.

[A sheepish smile.] Well, I guess we wouldn't be together if I can't handle him. Then again, I think I just know which buttons to press. [~~That didn't sound right, Ino.~~]

I don't doubt it. Riku's always liked girls that challenge him. Just don't press too hard.

Don't worry, I won't. I can't resist giving in to him after some time, anyway.

Good to know. Has he bothered to extend an invite to join us at our house for dinner? [It's said in a mock-anger tone, because knowing Riku he probably hasn't given it much thought. But Kairi was 100% serious. She'd love to cook and host a dinner for Ino...even if it would make things possibly awkward for Roxas who kind of still didn't like Riku, and Xion who was his ex. Oh well.]

No, he hasn't. [Point-blank with a hint of teasing. Luckily for Ino, she knows Xion but not the 'ex' part.] Let's pretend he did because no matter what, I'll agree.

Pick a date and I'll whip up a menu. It'll be fun.

How about next week? I'm planning a little something for him around that time too.

It's not going to crash into whatever you're planning, right? I don't want to take anything away.

No, of course not. I think this is more important. [Than what she has in mind. Then again, she can just move her plans. No big deal.]

Then it's settled. So how about a hint? What's the famous Ino's favorite thing to eat?

Anything low-fat will do. Oh, and something healthy too.

Low-fat and healthy, huh? I'll think of a compromise since I don't think the boys will go for that. [But there's a promising grin.] Trust me, I won't disappoint.

Hey, don't worry, I know you won't. [She has that much faith in her.] Anyway, how many are you guys in one house?
