Forty-Fifth Shower - [Voice]
[Private, 90% Unhackable]
I know a lot of people are already planning on how to make the best of this and make sure we have a good strategy, but why do I feel like that might not be enough this time? I was hoping they'd skip us this time, and right around Christmas? Thanks a lot.
I guess...I just have to make the best of this, too.

Well, guess that means I have to bump my Christmas plans back a little further. [She's trying to make light of the situation, even though she's really not that happy. She's pretty worried, actually.] Underground this time, huh? I'm not sure if that's better or worse. But why...you'd think they'd learn from last time, I'm not really a combatant.
I want to be better this time, and I'm not going to get knocked out early this time. I'm...I'm really good with healing magic now, and some of the other magic, too. And I'm a little better at combat for back-up support. [But definitely not for the front lines, she thinks.] I want to help. Just tell me what to do.
And for something a little less depressing...who's planning Christmas parties this year? I've got some ideas, but we'll see how those go.
Wish us luck.

Hiding I can do...but it's bad because that means they can hide just as easily, right? So how do we get around that?
no subject
[Now they've reached the dome, and he pauses at the door.] We'll practice that when we get in there.
no subject
...have I mentioned how much I appreciate this, Luke? I'm serious.
no subject
Ah... It's nothing. I just want to make sure you'll stay safe out there.
[And inside they go! /o/]

Not to mention that, when it comes down to it, that's how he got stronger. Thrown out into the world completely unprepared, forced to fight and kill... He doesn't wish that on anyone. Especially people like Kairi, and especially people who can't even hold a sword.]

So, he takes in a deep breath and nods.]
... Right. Starting with this. [With that, he reaches out to find something that resembles mines. You know. Something that isn't Akzeriuth.]
no subject
Here goes nothing...
no subject
No thinking about that.
Once that's set, Luke gives Kairi's arm a little touch to indicate to follow, then heads off to the door.]
It might be a little dark at first...

[He trails off once he reaches the door. Right. Here we go...
He opens the door and steps inside. And, indeed, it's very dimly lit. But what he can see...
Well. His grip on the door tightens a little before he makes himself let go. Dammit, he's only just seeing the mines and there's already a wad of discomfort in his chest.]

I was just saying that it's still pretty dark.
[There's some skittering in the winding halls of the mines. Looks like there are some monsters programmed in here.]
no subject
And it's going to be this dark where we're going? Really?
no subject
[Don't mind if his speech is a little clipped - it gets that way when he's in battle, not to mention he still doesn't feel very well here.
A few large, one-eyed bat monsters fly from around the corner, disappearing every now and then in the darkness where the light doesn't touch. Instinctively, Luke maneuvers so that he's a bit in front of Kairi.]
You need to listen for them until your eyes adjust to the light! [And once they get close enough, Luke slashes his sword forward at once before he leaps and slices up in the air for the other, his Fang Blade attack. The very first arte he learned.]
no subject
And how long is that going to take? [And better yet, where did you learn how to maneuver like that?]
no subject
[That's okay for now - Luke takes a few cautious steps forward, not minding that Kairi's staying behind him. And since it's so dark, she can't see how he holds his sword in front of him, the way it trembles slightly. His breathing's a little faster, but maybe that's just because of the attack he made. Couldn't be because how this reminds him of Akzeriuth.
... After a moment, though, his head clears enough to glance behind him and notice the dim outline of Kairi there.]
... If you can find someone to partner with, that'd be good.
[Part of him wishes he could go. But the other half of him knows that he'd be just like this, or worse.
There's more skittering ahead, though, and Luke looks forward again to prepare for it.]
no subject
...are you sure you're okay doing this? We can train another way.
no subject
It's only after he recovers for a few seconds that he realizes Kairi asked him something.]
What? Oh... It's fine. I'm fine.
[In the dim light, he can see something sneaking up behind Kairi, too.]
Kairi! [He points, trying to get her to turn around. Besides, if they want the capacity core she's wearing to work, then she needs to beat some things, too.]
no subject
...guess I need eyes behind my head, too.
no subject
[She's not used to fighting, he knows that much. Still, that was pretty impressive, and he turns to watch ahead of him again as he talks again.]
H-Hey, how long have you... fought with the Keyblade?
